Harriet is a British film and media composer, and percussionist.
Harriet made her professional debut with her score for ‘The Door’ after winning the Film Score Fest competition in 2021. She has since assisted at Abbey Road Studios, worked on various short films, and has upcoming work in feature films.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Oxford in 2023. During her time there, Harriet composed for workshops with the BBC Singers and the Castalian String Quartet.
As a percussionist, Harriet believes that she brings a completely unique perspective to her compositions. She is greatly aware of different sounds, their colours, the capabilities of sound-making objects, and is always looking to create and form new aural experiences through composition.
Harriet has performed at the Cambridge International Jazz Festival with Dame Evelyn Glennie and at highly acclaimed venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, and The Barbican. She was the winner of the Canterbury Festival’s Young Musician competition and was principal percussionist for Katie Melua and the BBC Concert Orchestra as part of the Silk Roads Project.
Harriet is currently based in New York City undertaking a master’s degree in Screen Scoring at New York University, where she was presented with the Dr A Kurtz award at the recommendation of program faculty.
